In a world of YouTube, Video Games, and Virtual Reality, traditional golf cannot compete. That is why we are PROUDLY not your "Grandpa's Golf Program". Most junior golf programs focus on the "country club sweater vest kids", but we focus on "ALL" kids and want them to FALL IN LOVE WITH GOLF FIRST!!! This is why we have invested in Discover Golf System of teaching golf to children through unique, game-based play and not traditional methods. Ask your 8-year old self the following 5 questions...
Would you rather hit balls into an open field OR blow up bad guys?
Would you rather putt into a hole OR putt into a volcano?
Would you rather chip balls on a green OR chip balls to collect awesome sneakers?
Would you rather learn about swing path OR drive a racecar around a track?
Would you rather learn putting speed control OR have in adventure in outer space and avoid aliens?

We want kids to play golf for a lifetime, not just experience golf for a few months, and then quit. Our unique system is designed to help them love golf, build confidence, become great players, and if they want it, eventually play college golf.
There are lots of great instructors in our area who will gladly take your money to teach your children golf, but our goal is to meet your children where they currently are so that they love golf and can become great players one day.
For example, we just had one of our 6-year old students compete in and finish 36th at the World Championships in Pinehurst, NC. For a child like that, we have a different path than a child who is just starting and can only make contact with a golf ball every other swing. These two children cannot be taught golf the same way!
Unfortunately in the junior golf industry, that is how it works. Most kids go get a golf lesson, the instructor will teach them how to hold the club, how to stand, how to swing, some might even video their swings.
For a kid who is already competing in national tournaments, that is probably what they need….BUT for a kid who is just starting out, they don’t need to go spend 30-60 minutes to with a golf pro learning how to hold the club.
From our combined 40+ years experience, we have found that once the novelty of hitting the golf ball wears out, it becomes a job for the kid, and after only a few months they quit golf. So, depending on where your child is we would be happy to help them. If you’d like to learn more about our program, and how we help children learn to love golf and become great golfers reach out to us today!
Kyle Wallace, dad to Konnor (age 8)
He enjoys the games and variety and really wants to improve. I am too competitive for my own good, but I love that every class has winners and losers without “participation awards”. When Konnor has a rough outing, it makes for a good conversation on losing gracefully in the car ride home.
Ronnie Alexander, dad to Kinley (age 8)
She genuinely loves the competition of the games and loves golf itself. Hope to get her decent enough to really want to play a course. I ask her favorite part of the class every time and usually it's one of the games or how she could have done something different to win the poker chip. My goal is for her to be good enough to golf with me. I love the aspect of the games and competition. That makes it fun and keeps the kids engaged . I choose your program over others because of the people and the structure of the classes.
Valerie Howell, mom to Lillie (age 16)
Lillie enjoys coming to the grind classes because you guys make the lessons so much fun . It’s a stress free atmosphere. It’s nice as a parent to not feel like I’m forcing her to go to Saturday morning Clinic. She’s eager to hang out with other golfers from different schools where she is not just improving on her golf game but building friendships along the way. Usually after clinic the first question is who won the poker chip . Then of course we discuss what she worked on that morning . We can all see a difference in her playing ability this past season. She has taken at least 10 strokes off her score and we hope that trend continues. I’m thankful classes are offer several times during the week. It allows for flexibility for parents who work. The cost is very reasonable compared to paying for private lessons . Thank you for passing on your love and knowledge of golf to Lillie she looks forward to Saturday morning with you guys. I honestly can’t think of anything I would change about the program.
Robert Crouch, father to Georgia-Grayce (age 9)
GG said ( Her Words) she likes being with her friends and it’s really fun hitting the golf ball. She loves being outside and enjoys the teachers / coaches instruction. They make it fun!! After league play she always says how much fun she had. She says she wants to do it again after each league. As parents we want her to learn and have fun playing golf for a lifetime. We would like to see if she will keep the love of playing enough to play for her school or league as she grows. She also talks about this. We love how the instruction is centered around fun and not just about drills and coaching and how far they have improved. I think that’s what has kept GG interest in golf this long is y’all make the game fun first. We valve the entertaining ways you have kept golf fun with games and how y’all deliver instruction. That’s what has kept us and GG having fun with golf. I am A HUGE Fan of Love golf first. Skills will come in time as long as you enjoy the game first! It is such a challenge to keep children’s interest into a sport at times and y’all do great at keeping them interested. GG has been with y’all from the beginning and we have enjoyed seeing your company grow and evolve along the way to help provide the best experience and teaching for kids wanting to get involved into golf. I think y’all are doing a great job with the games, tournaments, and lessons. Changing and introducing new games and fun ways to have kids love this game. I do think having a friend has really helped GG love going as well. I think if the kids can make friends this helps greatly in their experience with enjoying playing. Thanks for all the hard work and providing such a great opportunity for kid’s learning golf.
Mike Kijak , father to McKenzie (age 8)
She likes playing golf and enjoys the games. After class she usually wants to tell us about her better shots from the class. And, of course what happened during the poker chip round. We love that y’all make learning golf fun! At this age group, beating balls for an hour can be monotonous for them. When asked how the class works, I always compare it to “the karate kid,” just more fun. Daniel didn’t realize he was learning Karate while doing chores every day. Makenzie doesn’t realize that all of the fun games are teaching her how to putt, chip, pitch or hit full shots.
William McCamy, father of Maddox (age 13)
The classes help him learn, and he enjoys making friends and the competition. After class we always talk about a win, a struggle, and who won the poker chip. Haha Our goals for class are to continue making improvements on the areas he’s struggling in (like position 2). And to have a chance to play college golf and possibly beyond. We value your communication, availability, teaching approach, and connections with Maddox. We choose you guys because of the way you teach and explain. Maddox tried a lesson somewhere else and didn’t like their approach. He has fun learning the game in your program.
David Dixon, father of Maggie (age 13)
Mags has really enjoyed the Saturday classes with the older kids. She said that she loves the competition and how you all teach that class. She appreciates the videos as that helps her learn quicker. She loves the camaraderie of the group. She enjoys how y’all interact with the older kids and although she hangs back sometimes, she loves being around them. Her goal is to make the LHS golf team. All of you have a great teaching demeanor and your instructional techniques are age appropriate. Maggie has grown with her skills as well as maturity.
Olesya , mother to Sasha and Nik (age 10)
Sasha and Nik think the learning process is fun and they enjoy playing team games with their peers. After class they discuss the games they played and why they didn’t win the chip. Their goals are to learn a little bit about the game, spend some time outside and have fun. As parents, we value that the program is designed to be fun and entertaining, which keeps kids engaged and interested in learning and improving their skills.
Nick Shelly, father to Grace (age 10)
We choose you guys because the practice and lessons she works on with you guys helps her in tournaments. She is staying consistent and improving by working with y’all. We stick with you guys because y’all are awesome. You make it fun and interesting. Grace says she like class because we play games, and have fun, and you get to practice golf. It doesn’t feel like it’s practice because we have fun and taking a break.
Jamie Lawhorne, father to Peyton (age 16)
Peyton enjoys being able to learn golf with his peers and the friendly competition. He talks about how he can improve using the lessons and how he can incorporate them into his game. His short term goals are to secure a permanent spot on the varsity team and consistently shoot mid 80s at worst. Longer term goals are to play golf at the college level and hope to potentially earn a scholarship. As a parent, I value the honest feedback and the way you work with the kids at all skill levels. Peyton was as beginner as you could be at the beginning but that didn’t seem to matter. I’m sure it was frustrating at times but he’s made a lot of progress thanks to your program. Being accessible to not only us as parents but to Peyton as well has been great. Your knowledge of his swing and what he needs and being able to communicate that not only to him but to the parents as well is appreciated. We chose your program over others because I like the teaching style and approach to the game. I love the videos of the lesson as a reference point. Your availability outside of the lesson for Peyton to text with a question or needs a thought is awesome. Your feedback has really been helpful more than you know several times outside of lessons when he’s been struggling with something, and he’s sent you a text for guidance and what you send back was exactly what he needed. Also being able to send you a random video from time to time and you breaking it down has been great for him to see as well. So, you guys go above and beyond just giving instruction, Peyton sees you as a golf mentor.
Eddie Goff, father to Quinton (age 8)
Quinton enjoys your classes because they are laid back, low pressure and you incorporate games to teach. He is still young enough that formalized training would be difficult. You guys have an approach that makes it fun and have the patience of Job with him and others. After class he is usually talking about who won the poker chip. He also talks about the different games and what he needs to do different to do better or win next time. Quinton’s goal is to be on Northside golf team in high school and our goal is for him to have a life skill that will help him later in life. I don’t golf and know that I have missed thing’s professionally not being on a golf course with others. We want Quinton to be able to at least have the basics as an adult where he can go to a golf scramble with co-workers. We love that you guys personalize instruction and you make comments to each child, encouraging them to make change or reinforcing improvement. This does nothing but prove that you take mental note of what strengths and weaknesses are with the kids. We are very routine structured people. Quinton showed up a couple years ago now with a flyer he got at Northside after you did a day there. He thought it was fun, so we showed up. We have considered doing lessons other locations but Quinton is not mature enough to benefit from that at this time. If he got more formalized lessons now, I fear we would push him away from golf because it wouldn’t be “fun” anymore.
Bryant, Walker, father to Christian (age 14)
He enjoys all the coaches and kids there. He is actually enjoying playing golf and lot of it has to do with the coaches. Thank you all! Our 1st goal was to see if he enjoyed golf, which he does. 2nd goal was to understand where he was at in his development as a golfer. 3rd goal was/is to gradually get better so he feel confident in his game (We are here). 4th goal is to compete with himself and others on a golf course. We value the program because of the Coaches and Christians confidence in himself and enjoying the game.
